The Hobbit

So I have some hobbit art on the way. Yes because I saw the movie, and I liked it. Im still puzzled as to how they're going to fit such a small book into 3 movies, but I think i get the picture. The costumes and set were as always the best. Seriously they couldnt have made better dwarves. i loved them.

All the stuff

I like collecting things. And I don’t always throw things away because I feel at some point they will be of use to me again.

One thing I collect is buttons. You don’t find buttons everywhere unless you buy them. But a place I've found to hail allot of buttons in the past is in the bathrooms of gas stations. Why? I dunno. I don’t have alot of buttons. I wish I had more. They often come in handy when you're making things.

Other things I collect? Bottles. I'm talking about the small ones that are mostly for decoration. No they don’t really have any sort of use, but I like them. They're even harder to find than buttons. Craft stores always carry them, but you'll find that they don’t have a wide assortment of bottles. but rather of sizes.

  Who doesn’t collect string?

I love finding translation Dictionaries. Which is something I've just started doing. I have 3 so far.

Things like cards are always interesting. Especially trading cards. As a kid I collected Pokémon cards. Eventually I had a good fair amount of them that I gave away for god knows why. I think I was thinking why I would need these since I'm sooo grown up. And now if I had a time machine it would probably be in the top 10 things I'd go back and fix from my early childhood. There are other cards to collect. I never really liked Digimon cards though I have 2. I don’t really know where I got them from. Sailor moon and DBZ cards are the best. I don’t know if they still sell Star Wars cards but I have one. And an interesting assortment of Harry Potter cards that probably belonged to one of my sisters belong to me now. I really never got into the Yu-gi-oh! Card craze but it’s almost impossible to not have them it seems because they're everywhere.

I love pens and pencils. And why wouldn’t you collect them? They’re obviously useful. The nice ones from art supplies stores are my favorite, and I like how you can buy and individual one rather than a whole pack.

Beads are everywhere so I pick them up wherever I find them.

Thanksgiving ennui

I confess I’m not fond of the holidays. I fell like there so much fuss, and the places are closed.
But there inevitable, and in life we have to put up with things that are sometimes frivolous. I'll just have to finish all the books I've been reading.

Doodles of the past.

This has been on my dads fridge for at least 4 years so thats why its got those blemishes.

Hey lady! Nice headband!

Update

I finally transferred my jon/Ghost picture over to my sketch pad and I’ve been working on it.

I decided to go ahead and try and make Jon look as much like Kit Harington as possible since it was better than what I was doing before, and I’m happy with it.

This is just a small piece of the whole page since the paper I’m working on is 11" x 14", and I’m also deciding what sort of boarder I should place around it because I feel it needs one

I'm obviously not done but I just wanted to Post it since it’s basically gotten to where I want it so far.

Pardon my lines

I made this over a year ago, and I found it the other day. It's drawn on a very small five star note book that I would carry around my Senior year of Highschool. I made it with Prisma colors borowed from the art teacher. I definatly plan on panting it.

Blue cotton in the round

Gloves im making for my cousin. Im happy with how they came out and i've now finished at least one glove, and started the other.

Some space art for all yall nerds.

I made this a while back. Ive colored it since then, but i'm not completely happy with how its come out, and i'm definatley not done but heres the result of my finished penciling it.

Pardon my lines

You know when you want to sketch something but you have no nice blank paper to work on? Happens to me all the time.
I had a desire to create some A Game of Thrones art. Particularly some Jon Snow/Ghost art. But I find myself at a loss for anything but lined notebook paper. So I went ahead and drew it, and this is the result.

Not the best picture of my work but I blame my DSi camera.
Anywho, I plan on painting it on a canvas someday. So this is basicaly just a rough draft.
As far as names go I was thinking of calling it The Ghost of Jon Snow, but that name is'nt final.

Theory

I have this theory. That every time I talk openly, or honestly about a wish or fulfillment of mine that its bound to fail, kind of like the rules that say you’re not supposed to say your wish at 11:11, or after you make any sort of wish, or the wish won’t come true. It always happens. Hey I’m going to try to knit something in the round! Frogged. Hey I’m going to read all these books! Returned to library. Hey I’m going to build a full scale replica of the Tardis! Dreams shattered.
How do I combat this accursed plague of chronic procrastination? I don’t talk about it. Not out loud at least. That seems to somehow do the trick. Don’t ask me to explain all the sciences an’ stuffs. Thankfully it doesn’t seem to affect the natural order of things if I write about it.

Hooded neckwarmer

Ive been wanting a hooded neckwarmer for some time now. What bugs me is its summer and I dont like staying at home so im at the library most of the day. So im thinking of maybe just bringing my knitting projects to the library to work on them here but at home its better because everything I need is within reach. but it will have to do. Im more concerned about getting over the fact that people will watch me while I knit so ive never actualy knit in public before. But I guess thats a small problem.

Ive been looking at different hooded neckwarmers. and I gues my problem right now is wondering how im going to piece it together. This red one is very nice. It looks like it requires some bulky yarn though.

Maybe I could also do one in Entrelac since ive been wanting to do that also. that would look great. Everything looks better in Entrelac.

Bun cap

This is my first sucessful crochet project. I call it a bun cap which is worn in your hair. Kinda clever eh?

Kate Beaton

My recent favorite cartoonist right now is Kate Beaton who has a website at http://harkavagrant.com/. Maybe its the way she makes even the nastiest of histories bad guys look adorable, and I dont know maybe its just the way she judges books by there covers http://harkavagrant.com/index.php?id=293. But I cant stop reading these awesome clips. Heres a sample of my favorite strip from the book cover comics

Les Sample:

Shoe box Tardis

I made this lil shoe box tardis out of scraps and such that I found around the house. Im planning on making a better one but this made for a good modle, and test to plan on making a better one

Ive Been doing alot of art as well as planing on making something for a friend. Mostly knitting which ill also post. But for now heres a doodle of the sorting hat! I drew it with a sharpie, and im quite proud of it. Worry not! More pictures are on the way!
